Flashlight tunnel vision

A Chair in a Room by Ryan Bousfield

Having dark environments that are only visible in the light of a flashlight, limits the visibility of peripheral motions without peripheral details being completely invisible.

Strengths:

Works very naturally with the theme of this horror experience

Allows for peripheral details to still be slightly visible

Very immersive and unobtrusive

Weaknesses

The method can become tedious and annoying to the user if it impacts their efficiency to complete their goals too drastically
